You know your path, child. Now follow it!

The road before me is set.
The spinning arrow points my way.
It will not be easy,
but the end will be worth whatever I face
For I have the strength of the Warrior.
I have the patience of the Lady
and the faith of a Child is in me, always,
buried safe within my pages.
No dragon,
nor witch,
nor horrid troll,
Will stand between me and my destiny.

I care not for the straight and narrow.
Give me the curvy and wide.
Only that path will suit me.

  1. Speaking of new headers, I adore yours! Very fitting. And this is such a heartening post - I'm glad you're regaining your courage to be your fabulous self, whatever the opposition. You'd like to read Rilke's Letters to a Young Poet, I think: "It is clear that we must trust in what is difficult; everything alive trusts in it, everything in Nature grows and defends itself in any way it can, is spontaneously itself, tries to be itself at all costs and against all opposition. We know little, but that we must trust in what is difficult is a certainty that will never abandon us." Love him!

Also thank you for your definition of home - sums it up for me, really. It's sad, but my family's house really doesn't feel like the place I can be myself and relax. But the bright side is I have somewhere else where I can, grazie al cielo!

    Love and falling leaves xx
