Diary Excerpt #56

The air changed this morning.
It started last night with the wind,
and when I walked my pup in the early morning light,
I felt it.

It is here.

Been quietly fading away,
as the light goes early now
and I am no night creature.
Soon, I will just be a shadow.
Who will see?

Have been thinking of battening down,
preparing for the snow.
Food in the basement, hay in the loft,
wood in the barn.
I feel like a squirrel,
anxiously burrowing.

Relief will come when I hope no longer
for something to change.
But I want change,
so so so badly.

Have been wearing my four-leaf clover,
hoping that a bit'a the ole' Irish luck
still runs in me half-blood veins.

It's possible, isn't it?
To actually get what you want?

  1. Yes. It is. It is. It is. Keep believing.

  2. I agree with dear Thea, IT IS possible. You need to believe and trust and be patient, but you will get what you want.

  3. I hope so! Patience is key I guess :)

  4. This is so beautiful. I've been feeling this way, as I watch autumn approach. I adore the fall, but I know it leads to what can be the soul-freezing cold of winter. I think squirrels and bears and other animals have the right idea...

I believe it is possible. Sometimes, merely knowing what you want is half the battle won.
