Come on lets make this dream that's barely half awake...

...come true

~Matt Nathanson~

Hello my darlings!!
Goodness gracious, it has been far, far too long! I have to tell you. dearests, there was a moment that I wasn't sure I'd make it through my junior year, but I did and have good grades to show for it. Now I am a senior! A wonderful, thrilling prospect, but a teeny tiny bit frightening as well. I have the strongest urge to do something completely impractical and awesome next year. I'm thinking, that after graduation, I should finally run away from home and spend a year in Paris.

"America is my country and Paris is my hometown."

"If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast."

I've dreamed of Paris since I was a little girl and I know that if I don't go, there will be a hole within me that will ache someday.
However, first things first -

IT'S SUMMER!!!!!

"The summer night is like a perfection of thought."
~ Wallace Stevens ~

And with it comes warm weather, good books, long drives, horse rides, beach extravaganzas, Jane Austen Book Group, late night star gazing, endless writing, hammock dreaming, lakeside adventures, Caribbean explorations and whatever else comes my way!

"I see my path, but I don't know where it leads. Not knowing where I'm going is what inspires me to travel it."
~Rosalia de Castro~

Happy Summer my loves!

  1. Congrats on becoming a senior! Senior year is the best year of all, just wait. :D And going to Paris for a year sounds amazing. I would have loved to have done that after I graduated. Have fun this summer and next year will be great.
